4.Pull the apple out of the pot, allowing any excess syrup to drip off for a brief moment, and then set the apple onto the prepared baking sheet. Repeat the dipping process with the remaining apples. If the candy starts to thicken and becomes hard to work with, just put the pan over a very low flame and stir gently until it’s more fluid again. Let the apples cool until the candy has hardened completely, about 30 minutes. Candied apples are best served and eaten soon after they’re made.
TIP:If you can find thin wooden dowels or thick bamboo skewers to use as sticks, you can dress up the apples by slipping a fun-patterned paper straw over the stick.
